This is a terrific blog, and thanks for mentioning Ulysses, which I didn’t know about. I’ve fooled with it, and it’s very interesting. I still like to follow my characters through the story as opposed to squeezing them into it, but the creative process is roomy enough to let us approach it in a bunch of ways.
