My thoughts exactly on the Pelican 1510 case. It's also great to stand on or to have a client sit on for portraits. ... best of all, it's nearly kid proof.

I use this case for the fashion shows. If I get stuck in the back of the riser I can stand on it or in the front I sit on it.
I only use this case when I need to shoot at the shows.
Last week I shared this case with a friend from W magazine while shooting the Ports 1961 fashion show. We both sat on it!

I was afraid of the same thing when I was researching it before buying, but so far it hasn’t been a problem. I take it as a carry-on and check the bag with my light stands and modifiers. The 1510 was designed to be a carry-on so you can just put it in the over-head storage area.

Ha – ‘a breeze’ what’s the total weight on that thing? Don’t you get charged a pretty penny to check it? I have to keep my bags to under 50lb
